Amy Huberman has officially wrapped on her eagerly awaited RTE comedy show, Finding Joy.
The show, which was written by and is starring Amy, as well as a whole host of other Irish actors, finished up after a month of shooting.
The story follows Joy, a newly single woman in Dublin searching for her happiness, and will star Aisling Bea, Laura Whitmore as well as Lochlann O’Mearain, Jennifer Rainsford, Catherine Walker, Paul Reid, Hannah Scott and Mark Doherty.
Today, the mum of two shared an emotional status on social media as the long process officially wrapped.
“And that’s a wrap on Finding Joy, she captioned a few behind the scenes shots from set.
“Soz to be a cheese bucket but it’s been a dream to write my own comedy series & I am totes emosh after a long journey of starting with the idea, beginning to write it, doubting everything, more writing, wondering what on earth I was doing, more writing, fear, excitement, a lot of tea, getting funding, casting, crewing up then finally filming it.
“A huge thank you to our crew who were incredible and supported every mad daft thing I wrote. It will be out later this year but for now I might just go for a small kip for 2.5 months”
Speaking about the project, Amy said: “I’m thrilled and excited to be starting on this adventure, Finding Joy. I’ve thoroughly loved the writing process and now can’t wait to start filming and see the world and all the characters come to life.
“I’m delighted to continue my collaboration with Treasure Entertainment with whom I’ve had a long-standing working relationship and am thrilled that both Acorn and RTÉ are partnering with us on this venture.”
We can’t wait to see the finished product!
