Amy Huberman has shared her heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the midwives and staff at the National Maternity Hospital following the arrival of her son Ted.

The Irish actress and husband Brian O’Driscoll welcomed their third child to the world at the end of December but kept the news to themselves for a few days as they enjoyed some precious time with their newborn son.

Announcing the news, proud dad Brian said, “2020 was a bit crap but the end of it was aiiight.

“Ted O’Driscoll arrived on Dec 28th and he is deadly. His mum is a champion and his brother and sister are thrilled at having a new little bro.”

Amy added, “Thank you so much for all your lovely messages for Ted. He’d say thanks himself but he’s 6 days old and a bit lazy that way.”

She went on to praise all those who looked after both herself and Ted during their time in hospital.

Taking to social media she wrote, “Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses and team at the National Maternity Hospital for being total heroes during such a challenging time for anyone working in healthcare right now. Deeply grateful and indebted.”

The actress continued, “Always emosh leaving there and I always want to be a midwife when I leave because they are such utter legends.”

Brian and Amy are already parents Sadie (7) and Billy (5) who couldn’t be happier with the new addition to the family.

Speaking to VIP Magazine last month Amy beamed, “They are really excited. Sadie keeps saying, ‘I can’t remember a thing about Billy arriving!’ And I am like ‘No, you were about 20 months old, of course, you don’t.’”

Huge congratulations to the whole family.
