Amy Huberman has revealed that an unlikely role model inspired her to start up an acting career.
The actress told Danny O’Reilly in his new show A Different Side that Neighbours actress and pop star, Kylie Minogue inspired her to take up acting.
Although Kylie is more well known for her pop star status, her acting achievements clearly made a lasting impression on the lovely Amy.
Amy told Danny, “I was a huge Neighbours fan. That was one of the reasons I wanted to act. Then Kylie became a pop star so I was all over that.I was a member of her fan club.”
Amy went on to reminisce about the great memories she has of attending her role model’s concert with her nearest and dearest.
“My mum took me to a concert of hers for my birthday with some of my friends. It was such a big deal.
“I think as well when you’re a small kid having someone like Kylie -speaking now as a mum- she was an Australian sweetheart so she was a good role model.”
We definitely agree with Amy that Kylie’s a fantastic role model!
