Amy Huberman has opened up about the time she spent at University College Dublin, where she gained a graduate and post-graduate degree.
Although the hilarious 37-year-old is now hugely popular as an actress, comedian and businesswoman, she wasn’t always as prominent. In fact, while at university she was somewhat of an outsider.
Speaking to Jarlath Regan on his An Irishman Abroad podcast Amy said that she wasn’t “cool enough” to be in with the popular crowd, but it wasn’t something that concerned her.
“I always felt on the periphery of that. I was never cool enough to be in the elite, it wasn’t something that meant anything to me anyway.
“I was never one of the cool kids. We all knew they existed but I was not in there. I had a great crew of friends, where that didn’t really seem important,” she said.
One of those in her peer group was Moone Boy star Chris O’Dowd, who she met in the UCD drama society. We bet people want to be part of their crew now!
