All the films we can’t wait to see in 2026

When it comes to next year’s film roster, it’s certain that 2026 will be quite the eventful year for big theatrical releases.

Here’s the most anticipated 2026 releases that will have you making frequent trips to your local cinema.

Hamnet

Hamnet is the film on everyone’s lips! Both Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal are nominated for Golden Globes and Jessie even tipped for Oscar glory. And we well believe it. The film comes out in January so watch this space…and pack the tissues!

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

As the sixth instalment of the Hunger Games film series, Sunrise on the Reaping is set to release in theatres on the 20th of November. The film is an adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ Sunrise on the Reaping novel, which was only published this year. This film will follow the condemned district tributes as they face the Second Quarter Quell of the Hunger Games.

Wuthering Heights

Starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, this Wuthering Heights film adaptation directed by Emerald Fennell, will grace our cinema screens on the 11th of February 2026. Charli xcx is set to release an album of original songs as part of the film’s score.

Spider Man: Brand New Day

Brand New Day is the fourth instalment of the Tom Holland MCU Spider-Man series. The film is the much-anticipated follow-up from the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which had us all at the edge of our seats. Headed for a summer theatrical release, Spider Man: Brand New Day is set to come out on the 31st of July next year.

The Odyssey

Following Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan’s next big film is none other than The Odyssey, an adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey. With its star-studded cast featuring the likes of Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron – The Odyssey is set to release on July 17th.

Toy Story 5

The next Toy Story film is set to be released on the 19th of June next year. In the teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 we got a glimpse at the film’s villain – Lily Pad, the latest kids tablet.

The Devil Wears Prada 2

The much-anticipated Devil Wears Prada sequel is set to release on the 1st of May, 20 years after the release of the original film. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt will return to play their respective characters as they challenge the decline of print media.

Dune: Messiah

The Dune films have been a front-runner in blockbuster success over the past few years. The third film is set to release on the 18th of December 2026, serving as the final film of the Dune series.

Project Hail Mary

Set to release on the 20th of March, Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling is based on the hit 2021 science fiction novel by Andy Weir. The trailer for the film was the most viewed trailer for any movie that was not a sequel or remake in the first week of its release.

Focker in Law

As the fourth film of the Meet the Parents franchise, Focker in Law is scheduled to be released on the 25th of November next year. The original cast is set to reprise their roles alongside new cast members Ariana Grande and Skyler Gisondo.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is scheduled to be released theatrically on April 10th, 2026. Starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton and Sarah Michelle Gellar, this comedic horror is the sequel to the 2019 film Ready or Not.

Avengers: Doomsday

Get ready for another monumental MCU release on December 19th 2026! Doomsday is the fifth instalment in the Avengers film series following Avengers: Endgame (2019), which grossed a whopping $2.8 billion worldwide. Doomsday will see the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the “original” X-Men team up to face Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom.
