Alicia Vikander has opened up about feeling intimidated by Michael Fassbender when they first met.
The Swedish actress first met the Irish heartthrob in 2014 and the pair have been loved up ever since – although the brunette beauty admitted she was a bit nervous when she first set eyes on her future beau!
She said told The Irish Sun, “I was intimidated the first time I saw him because you can see in his work how well prepared an actor he is. I admired how he can step into each role he is in and yet each character feels very different.”
Alicia also went onto say that initially she was unsure if the pair would gel well together onscreen.
She said, “I think you always wonder if you’re going to have chemistry with your co-partner, especially when you are making a film which is as intimate and emotionally intense as The Light Between Two Oceans.”
However, it didn’t take long for Michael to win over his leading lady, as she was blown away by his incredible talent.
She said, “It felt very easy straight from the beginning. I was just back from Sweden where I had seen both Hunger and Fish Tank many years before and I thought he was one of the most brave performers and actors that I had seen.”
We love these two together!
