While the thoughts of adding a pop of colour, can be daunting, you don’t have to go OTT and wild with eyeshadow to get a bright, bold look.
With the right products, in the correct places, it couldn’t be easier to achieve this summer-time style.
Whether you’re off to a festival, a red carpet event or even a night on the tiles, an extra splash of colour will go a long way towards making your look stand out from the crowd.
At last year’s Peter Mark VIP Style Awards, Helen Steele rocked a daring blue eye – and here’s how you can recreate it at home!
Firstly, prep and prime the skin with HD Corrective Primer in Peach (€26), and then go in with your foundation. For Helen’s look, the Inglot make-up artist used AMC cream foundation in LW600 (€24).
Set the base with YSM HD powder in 403 (€18), contour with AMC Multicolour System Bronzing Powder in 78 (€22). Add a dash of blush to the apples of your cheeks using Face Blush in shade 29 (€16) and finally highlight with Freedom Shadow in shade 30 (€6).
For the eyes, go for a soft smokey look using Freedom Shadows in shades 63, 351, 368, 299 and 298 (€6) before injecting a sharp dash of colour. Add a smudge of blue from The Stardust Collection (€16) to the inner corners of your eyes to lift the entire look.
Frame the eye with a strong liner using AMC gel in 90 (€15) before coating the lashes with False Lash Effect Mascara (€12).
Complete the entire look with a soft pink lip to keep the focus on the eyes. Go in with Precision lipliner in shade 63 (€10) before going over the lip with AMC lip paint in (€15).
Will you be trying this at home?
