Adrian Kennedy and Jeremy Dixon announce shock departure from 98fm

Adrian Kennedy and Jeremy Dixon have announced their shock departure from 98FM as their hit show Dublin Talks has come to an end.

The pair have worked on the mid-morning chat show for the last seven years, but their time with the station has come to an end.

Adrian revealed he’s enjoyed every minute working alongside Jeremy on the show, and this won’t be the last listeners will hear of them.

“We’ve spent a very enjoyable seven years with 98FM, presenting Dublin Talks. We’ve covered all the big Dublin and National news stories in a unique way – airing the opinions of the nation’s capital,” he said.

“We spent a very memorable two weeks ‘living in a box’ in the City Centre during 98FM’s Code Red and we were honoured to host the stations Best of Dublin Award.

“We’re most proud at having won two IMRO National Radio Awards along the way. Both Jeremy and I are already working on new projects for the future.”

98FM bosses have decided to change things up, “moving to a more music format” as of Monday morning.

The Sound of the City with Barry Dunne will now air from 10am-3pm, while The Big Ride Home with Brian Maher will begin at 3pm.

Announcing the news, 98FM programme director Michael Brett said, “I’d like to thank Adrian, Jeremy and the dedicated production team for their time at 98FM and their commitment to Dublin Talks. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”
