British actor Charlie Hunnam stars in the upcoming film remake of King Arthur. It wasn’t all smooth sailing to secure the role however, beating out huge actors such as Henry Cavill and our very own Michael Fassbender.
During an interview with Empire Online, the Sons of Anacrchy star admitted that he lost his temper during the audition process, after director Guy Ritchie pushed him too hard about his fitness levels.
‘You know what? F**king stop the camera. I’m starting to lose my temper,” he said.
The Newcastle native recalled being enraged at his director, and threatened to fight Michael Fassbender and Henry Cavill, who were also up for the role, to prove how fit he was.
“I’m starting to lose my temper. I know those other pr**ks you’ve got reading for this role.
“If you bring them in right now, I’ll f***ing fight them both at once for the role, and we’ll see what’s up with the physicality,” he said.
Although this was a dramatic move by Charlie, it obviously paid off because he landed himself the role that he called “a dream come true.”
