A second series of the Irish Dancing with the Stars has been confirmed.
The show, which drew in average weekly ratings of 584,000 in its first run, was hosted by Nicky Byrne and Amanda Byram and saw GAA star Aidan O’Mahony take home the glitterball trophy.
“We’re delighted to be back producing such a sensational show after a fantastic first run. I look forward to the search for more fleet-footed celebs to be put through their paces and light up our screens this year.
“Now the show is back for another season and there are already speculations about who will take part this year,” Shinawil CEO Larry Bass said.
He recently told the Daily Mail which stars he’d like to see on the show.
“I’d love to see some recently rugby and soccer players step up to take part – or other sports people,
“Whether Brian O’Driscoll, or his wife, would take part, they’re the people we’d love to have a conversation with,” he said.
Earlier this week, TV3’s Anna Daly and GAA star Bernard Brogan were said to be on the wishlist of contestants, according to the Herald.
