For many people, yoga has come to the rescue in keeping the body fit and mind serene amid the stress and anxiety of the COVID-19 pandemic. This weekend, Celtic Woodland Yoga Festival goes virtual to a global audience from the beautiful Townley Hall in Co Louth.
Available for free to all, the yoga festival will span over three days, with over 30 renowned presenters from all over the world featuring online interactive live events and exclusive video streaming.
Festival founder, renowned yoga teacher and award-winning filmmaker Cathy Pearson has carefully and lovingly curated this event and gathered a great diversity of teachers deeply immersed in their chosen field. World-class teachers like David Williams from Hawaii, Randall O Leary from the USA and Thailand, Sofia Araujo and Sebastian Bruno from Portugal, Peter Clifford from Australia and our own Michael Ryan (yoga teacher to President Michael D Higgins) will join teachers from Holland, Australia, Portugal, Austria, India, Hawaii, Mexico, Spain, Canada and Ireland to bring a global unity and togetherness to the festival.
Yoga is the main feature of the Celtic Woodland Yoga Festival, with a huge variety of teachings to explore from senior yoga teachers with decades of experience leading transformative yoga practices. There will be many classes, lectures, and presentations to choose from throughout each day, with a wide variety of yoga styles to choose from including Ashtanga Kundalini, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Hatha and many others. There will also be meditation classes, seminars and discussions about topics including personal growth among others
