While we are all counting down the time to our next holiday and we can’t wait to explore somewhere new, sometimes to get that adventure feeling we don’t have to look too far. 

Some of the coolest places to stay are right here in Ireland.

Blackrock Point, Lough Derg

Set overlooking Lough Derg in Clare, this house has panoramic views of the lake throughout.

A patio area at the front of the house allows guests to dine while enjoying magnificent views of the lake.

Cabin on the sea – Dingle Peninsula

Located in County Kerry on the Dingle Peninsula this cabin is located ‘right’ on the sea. The listing explains it is perfect for those who love camping/glamping.

Complete with a private beach, a barbecue area, an outdoor shower as well as one side of the hut consisting of mostly windows to give you that incredible view this is perfect for those who are looking for a private glamping adventure.

Stone Cottage on Mizen Head 

Originally an 18th-century farmhouse built from local stone, overlooking Barleycove beach and Crookhaven harbour in Cork.

Boat House on the Beach, Valentia 

The Boat House is located right on the beach on the island of Valentia off the Southwest coast of Ireland.

It can fit up to six guests and it’s equipped with five beds and two bathrooms. Perfect for those who are looking to escape busy life for a while.

Pops Dream Cabin, Clare

Located in Lough Derg this small slice of serenity for two.

The boathouse is self-contained complete with a full kitchen, bathroom and mezzanine bed as well as a private veranda with seating for two and a small barbecue.

It is important to note this stay does not allow pets.

The Surf Shack, Antrim

Described as paradise for surfers this Surfer’s Shack is a unique tiny space created from an upcycled shipping container based in Antrim.

Perfect for a quiet secluded getaway all the while being within minutes of the top spots such as the Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Dark Hedges and the Bushmills Distillery. A 15-minute drive will also take you to Portrush.

The Birdbox, Donegal

The Birdbox is a handcrafted treehouse nestled in Glenveagh National Park, just a short distance from The Wild Atlantic Way.
