Niall Horan released his debut solo song This Town just last week, and already he’s made chart history in America.
Mullingar native Niall has become the first artist ever to debut at number one on the Social 50 Countdown, a chart powered by online data that is tracked by music analytics company, Next Big Sound. It ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Vine and Wikipedia.
The 23-year-old beat out his former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik on the Social 50, as he reached number three on the chart back in February.
As if this wasn’t successful enough, This Town is also performing well on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at the 63rd spot on the list.
