Ivan Yates’ replacement on TV3’s Sunday AM has finally been revealed.
The broadcasting legend is taking a year hiatus from work and his replacement has kept quiet about his new role -until now.
Communications consultant and former head of News at Today FM, Ian Noctor has officially confirmed to the Irish Independent that he will be taking over Yates’ role on the tv show.
Ian told the newspaper although this is his first tv slot he’s really looking forward to the new challenge.
He said, “I am 47 years of age and this is my first foray into television and you can imagine when you are at this point in your life you kind of think ‘aw yeah, what I have, I have now’, and then this came out of the blue and I’m thinking, ‘Jaysus this is brilliant’,I’m really, really excited.”
When speaking about living up to the legend that is Ivan the 47 year old said, “I have a personality of my own and I’m going to let it shine through, be as much myself as I can be, and not allow myself to get too nervous and hopefully the viewers will like it.”
