After much speculation, it has officially been confirmed that Coldplay will be hosting a concert in Dublin in 2017.
On Friday, the band dropped a hint that they will be coming Ireland as part of their European tour next year.
They released a video on Twitter of what looked like a teaser for a European tour.
The video flashes different countries’ flags on a 2017 sign -and Ireland’s tricolour of green, white and orange featured.

Today, an Irish newspaper confirmed the concert by posting an advertisement for the 2017 concert.
The band will play Croke Park on Saturday July 8, 2017 and tickets go on sale this Friday, October 7th.
Coldplay last played a gig in Ireland at Oxegen in 2011 -so their five five year absence is bound to have tickets selling out fast!
