Holly Carpenter found herself in an uncomfortable situation when she realised she was being impersonated online.
The unknown person made profiles on Tinder and WhatsApp using Holly’s images to front the pages.
The 24 year old model took to Twitter to ask the online dating website, Tinder, to delete the account.
“@Tinder how do I get a fake account deleted?? This isn’t me!!! #NotHappy” she wrote, and posted an image of the fake account.
While they were using her images on dating site, the impostor was also using Holly’s identity on WhatsApp. Doing some impressive detective work of her own, the former Miss Ireland found the fraudulent person’s phone number and gave them a piece of her mind.
“I’m going to lose my sh*t,” she said online. “I got the phone number of the person pretending to be me on Tinder and their WhatsApp photo is me. Just told them to look at my Twitter. Now PISS OFF YOU CREEP,” she said alongside a screenshot of a text conversation she had with the person.
While some say imitation is the best form of flattery, we don’t think Holly would agree as she has threatened to sue the person for fraudulent impersonation
