Ed Sheeran made his Game of Thrones debut earlier this year, however it was met with huge backlash from fans.
The singer had a short cameo in the first episode of the seventh series, but Ed doesn’t think we’ll be seeing his character, a Lannister soldier, ever again.
Speaking of his role Ed told MTV News, “We were all quite young those soldiers. I doubt I’m going to survive for that long to be honest, when there are dragons in the world.
“No-one wants to see me come back. I wanted to be a cameo in it, and I’ve done the cameo. I’m cool with it though, I enjoyed it.”

Following the harsh criticism by fans, the show’s director spoke out in the singer’s defence.
“I think Ed did a lovely job,” he told Newsweek. “He’s a lovely actor, and a lovely person.
“The hoo-ha seems to be from things that are outside of the world of the show.
“In the world of the show he did a lovely job, and he looks like he belongs in that world.
“If people didn’t know who Ed was, they wouldn’t have thought about it twice.”
