Pierce Brosnan proved yesterday that he’s one of the more down to earth of Hollywood’s elite, having all the time in the world for his Irish fans.
The actor took time out from filming in Dublin yesterday to chat to the onlooking locals, something which is uncommon for the usual A-lister. AND the James Bond star even made his own coffee. We’re impressed!
The 62-year-old has been back in Ireland for the last number of weeks while he’s filming new blockbuster I.T, which is directed by Dundalk man John Moore, and sees heartthrob Pierce take on a tech genius who’s threatening his family.
British actress Anna Friel will also star in the new revenge thriller and so too will former Disney star Stephanie Scott.
Navan native Pierce has been thoroughly enjoying his time back on his home turf and has been spotted in a number of places across Dublin. The silver fox took time out to visit the coastal town of Dun Laoghaire and was spotted being busy snapping photos of the scenic view.
“Coming home at day’s end on a summers evening” was the caption of one of his photographs that he uploaded to Instagram.
The 007 star also made sure to pop into Dakota on South William Street in Dublin to enjoy a pint of Guinness.
We’re sure that life here is quite different to his normal abodes in Malibu and Hawaii but he said in the past that he had a soft spot for his home country.
Speaking on the Conan O’Brien Show last year he revealed: “”I grew up on the banks of the Boyne in Co Meath in southern Ireland a long time ago and I lived a very kind of simple country life”.
We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for Pierce during his return the capital, keeping all our VIP readers updated, of course!
