VIP Publishing Group, the publishers of VIP, TVNow and Stellar magazines, is looking for a Staff Writer for VIP Magazine.
VIP is Ireland’s original and best celebrity magazine, and has been the best-selling Irish monthly magazine since the day it was launched. VIP has earned its reputation as the home of Irish celebrities, and as the publication which consistently features the biggest weddings and exclusive photoshoots with Ireland’s best-known people.
Working with the Editor and Deputy Editor, the Staff Writer will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the magazine, including writing news features, interviewing celebrities, attending photoshoots and events, and helping with proof-reading/production.
Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, and a genuine passion for the Irish celebrity scene.
It is a permanent position and an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company that has over 350,000 readers monthly in print, and a growing audience across digital and social media channels.
Key skills required:
- Impeccable written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Good proof-reading/ sub-editing skills.
- An excellent knowledge of the Irish celebrity industry.
- A passion for writing about Irish people and events
- An ability to generate ideas for features, and follow them through
- A positive attitude and ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a dynamic team.
Salary commensurate with experience.
