We were in a glass case of emotion at last night’s Don’t Tell the Bride

It's safe to say we had a few tears.

It seems that we weren’t the only ones left as emotional wrecks following last night’s Don’t Tell the Bride season finale. The programme went out on a high for it’s final show of the series by featuring its first same-sex wedding, and it was simply heart warming.

The two grooms, Mark and his Venezuelan partner Kerwin already had a civil partnership but following last year’s triumphant marriage referendum, now was their chance to make it official. The pair went for a 1916 themed wedding for the year that’s in it, and they even pulled it together in under three weeks! That’s impressive…

The two men met in The Dragon in Dublin four years ago and have since went from “friends to lovers to soul buddies”…Adorable!

Getting to see the Yes vote played out on screen made the show pretty amazing viewing, but on top of that Kerwin’s mother, who he had not seen in four years, was flown in for the wedding. Cue the tears!

We couldn’t be more delighted for the happy couple!
