He was rumoured to not be returning to the 50 Shades of Grey franchise, but hunky Irish actor Jamie Dornan has proved he will be reprising his role as Christian Grey in a new movie trailer.
Belfast native Jamie was recently forced to address claims that his wife was not happy with him filming another raunchy film, claiming it was “total b******s and that he would be honouring the famous E.L James trilogy.
The second film, which is being written by the erotic novel author’s husband, has been pitched as “more like a thriller” than the first.
The 30-second teaser clip for Fifty Shades Darker, which is part of the first film’s Blu-ray release on May 8, shows Christian, AKA Jamie, dressing for a black-tie event, complete with a mask – which is sure to get fans’ pulses racing.
The video asks: “Are you ready for something darker!?”
Earlier this month, Universal announced that Fifty Shades Darker is set to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017. They also revealed the release date for Fifty Shades Freed, the third installment in the franchise: Feb. 9, 2018.
It was previously revealed that Sam Taylor-Johnson will not return to direct the next kinky flick.
Jamie’s role as S&M follower Christian has propelled him to mega stardom in the past year, and just this week, he was officially crowned the sexiest man in the world.
