While we all dream of salon-worthy hair, creating that perfect look at home can be quite the task.
Sometimes a last minute occasion creeps up and you won’t have time to pop to a hairdressers – but fear not, we’re here to help with this dilemma.
Jenny Dixon oozed elegant glamour during last year’s Peter Mark VIP Style Awards, and while it was created by seasoned professionals, here’s how you can do it yourself at home before any big event.
Step One
The first step in creating this look, is to give the hair body. When blowdrying your hair, make sure to use big round brush to give the hair as much of a lift as possible. It’s all about the volume! Be sure to follow our top tips for a salon-worthy blowdry at home!
Step Two
Next, go in with the curler. Section your hair, and do it piece by piece. There’s no need to rush this, so take your time and get it right. Wrap the hair around the curler in the same direction each time, before setting it down gently. Allow the hair to cool fully before gently brushing through to soften the look.
Step Three
For the awards ceremony, Jenny chose to have her hair pulled back from her face. To do this yourself, simply grab two large strands of hair on each side of your split, and brush to smooth. Twist them away from the face, and with a slide similar to your own hair colour, pin in place.
Finish the whole look off with blast of hairspray, et voila! It really couldn’t be easier.
