Congratulations are in order for rugby star Gordon D’Arcy and his wife Aoife Cogan, who have just become parents for the first time.
The Leinster and Ireland player broke the news that Aoife had given birth to a little daughter on Twitter today, by posting an adorable snap of him holding the newborn’s hand.
“My beautiful baby girl,” the smitten dad captioned the picture.
Loved-up Gordon and Aoife, who wed in 2012, were photographed just last weekend at the Leinster Ball, where the ex-model proved once again why she had the most stylish baby bump going.
At the ceremony, an emotional Gordon paid tribute to the former Miss Ireland, and it was clear to see he was excited for his new role of being a dad.
“To my wife Aoife, thank you. You’re an amazing woman, you’re giving me the best gift that anyone could ever give,” he gushed to his heavily pregnant beau.
