Thalia Heffernan has spoken about falling in love with her boyfriend Ryan McShane during her stint on Dancing With The Stars Ireland.
The pair appeared on Saturday Night With Miriam to speak about their decision to walk the Camino for charity later this year, and Thalia that even though she came up short on DWTS, she “won out in the end.”
“We were always making the excuse, just to talk to each other because it’s such an overwhelming experience.” Thalia told Miriam
“There’s so many people there’s cameras, so whenever we got a chance to just sit and talk together we would.
“It was a shock for us as much as it was everyone else. We didn’t try to hide it but we also didn’t try to publicise it. We had different and we had different things to do on the show so you have to be careful as well.”
Ryan, who is originally from Northern Ireland, is living in London and working as a dance teacher, admits that it was love at first sight for him and Thalia.
“I remember when I first saw her I thought this girl is way out of my league, I’m punching way above my weight and height.” Ryan gushed.
“She’s just lovely. We were just drawn to each other. Even we would just sit and have a cup of tea or cup of coffee so we could just sit talk.”
