Style Watch: The red carpet looks by Irish stars at the BAFTAs

VIP gives its verdict on last night's fashion choices

The EE BAFTA Film Awards 2016 didn’t disappoint in the style stakes last night, and our Irish talent stole the show with their red carpet choices.

Leading the way at the prestigious event, held at London’s iconic Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, were Saoirse Ronan, Angela Scanlon, Laura Whitmore, Michael Fassbender and Domhnall Gleeson, who all looked incredible.

Here’s VIP Towers’ verdict on each of their looks from the night.

Angela Scanlon

Angela rocked the red carpet

This Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress teamed with strappy Louboutins totally accentuates Angela’s pale skin and gorgeous red hair. Thumbs up from us!

Laura Whitmore

Saoirse Ronan

She’s just not getting it wrong over this awards season, is she? Another style hit for the Brooklyn star, we reckon this floor-length floral gown, custom made by Burberry may be her best yet. Her fresh, soft make up and messy low pony tail complete the look.

Michael Fassbender

Screen Shot 2016-02-15 at 16.26.05What a dapper man. Michael dressed to impress in this black suit and bow tie with a classic white shirt, and it feels like he’s channelling his inner James Bond vibes – which is never a bad thing.

Domhnall Gleeson

Another smart black suit & bow tie, but with an added side of humour. We doubt Domhnall cares too much about his name being butchered – again – by Revenant director Alejandro González Iñárritu… he’s too busy having the LOLs with Carrie Fisher. And this is why we love him so.
