Andrea Hayes celebrated the release of her new book with a star-studded launch.
Dog Tales is the broadcasters third book, and focuses on rescue dogs.
Having spent many years documenting her work with the ISPCA and Dogs Trust on her TV shows Animal A&E and Dog Tales with Andrea Hayes.
In this literary offering Andrea writes about the inspiring true stories of 13 dogs that have been given a second chance at finding their forever homes and the inspirational owners who found a place in their hearts and homes for the abandoned and often traumatised animals.
Launched in House on Leeson Street, the day saw friends, family and canine companions donning the yellow carpet to celebrate under one roof a fun filled day of family fun and an array of delicious offerings from West Coast Cooler.
Guests included Apprentice star Dillon St. Paul, Glenda Gilson and husband Rob McNaughton, Debbie O’Donnell. Alison Canavan, Conor Clear and lots more.
From Penny the Pit Bull who was abandoned at her most vulnerable but fell on her feet and found happiness with a couple who take her everywhere – even to the office. To Skittles, the terrified Shih Tzu who was rescued from a puppy farm and found love and canine companionship in her new home. Dog Tales gives us an insight into the journey these loveable canines take finding their forever homes.
Andrea also reveals how dogs have helped her on her own difficult journey through fertility issues and pain and how the dogs she has encountered have touched her life in different ways, often when she needed it most.
