Last night saw concert goers left angry and confused after US rapper Nicki Minaj cancelled her Dublin show just 90 minutes before she was scheduled to take to the stage.
The starlet was supposed to play a sold out show in the 3Arena – but was forced to pull out at the last minute due to adverse weather conditions meaning some of her stage equipment failed to make it to Dublin.
MCD Promotions made the announcement last night, saying “Nicki Minaj’s concert, which was due to take place at the 3Arena in Dublin today (Friday 15 March 2019), has been cancelled with full refunds available from this Tuesday from point of purchase.
“Unfortunately the artist, venue + promoters have been unable to reschedule the concert despite great efforts by all parties. The adverse weather conditions which affected Irish Sea sailings over the last 24hrs resulted in only half the trucks carrying their equipment arriving ahead of the concert.
“Nicki Minaj apologises for any inconvenience caused to fans due to these unforeseen circumstances.”
Despite the valid reasoning, and refunds widely available, fans were suitably upset by the last minute nature of the cancellation.
