James Vincent McMorrow has revealed that he and his wife have welcomed a baby girl.
The usually very private singer opened up about the arrival of his new baby and explained that he wrote his new album during his wife Emma’s pregnancy.
“I’m a private person. But here’s something to share. My magical unicorn Wife had a magical unicorn baby girl 3 days ago!!
“1000 thank yous to the staff at Holles Street & Temple Street Hospitals 4 takin unreal care of them both. Does this make me a grown up now? Ha no, what does that mean anyway? Live how you want. When I found out this was happening I sat down and wrote something,” The Higher Love singer.
The 35-year-old added that he hopes to always associate his album with this special time.
“My intention was to release it when this tiny person showed up, so I could listen to it and always remember this point in time. I wanted you to know that so when you hear it you’ll know why it exists.
And b4 u ask, nah it’s not about being a father, cause wtf do I know about that anyways! It’s about chaos. It’s called Me And My Friends. J x”

The Dubliner received well wishes from many friends and fans.
Radio show host Eoghan McDermott said: “Ah massive congrats dude! Hope mother and baby doing great!x”
