While the whole of Ireland watched the nail-biting Rugby World Cup clash between the boys in green and Argentina yesterday, a certain member of One Direction visited to a well-known Dublin pub to cheer the team on.

Mullingar man Niall Horan headed to The Bridge 1859 in Ballsbridge, famously owned by by Ireland rugby players Jamie Heaslip, Sean O’Brien Rob Kearney and Dave Kearney and was spotted enjoying pints and some finger food.

According to Goss.ie, the One D member took 20 pals to hang out in the pub for the match, and they all stayed for some of the Australia game too.

Niall was in the capital for the band’s final gig of the weekend in the 3Arena, and it’s clear he had a good time while home in his native country.

The 22-year-old partied in Dublin hotspot Krystal on Saturday night, with band member Louis Tomlinson and their entourage.

He told fans at his concert that night that it was the “loudest, craziest show ever!”.

“That was absolutely mind blowing,” he tweeted. And last night he went step further, writing: “Dublin , the last 3 nights have been some of the best of my life .. You guys are incredible.. Sooooo proud to be Irish .. Love you all.”

According to reports, this weekend was the last chance for fans to see the group in Ireland as a source told The Irish Sun, they won’t be back.

The insider said: “There’s a huge difference between what the lads are saying in public and what they are saying in private which is, ‘This is the end’. One Direction aren’t taking a break. We won’t be back. This is it from One Direction for the very last time.”

But Niall insists this simply isn’t true. “It seems like no matter how many times I say that we are not breaking up, the more people are convinced that we are breaking up, so I have given up trying to explain it.” he said.

Glad to hear!
