Fair City is set to gain a new family.
Saoirse Ronan’s dad Paul is set to move into Carrigstown with his on-screen family.
The actor will play Anto Collins on the soap, along with wife Sharon and daughters Hayley and Harmony.
Sharon will be played by Neili Conroy who starred as Kitty in Love/Hate.
The family will join the soap in the coming months.
There will be lots of drama when they four enter the show.
Paul Ronan has starred in a number of Irish shows before including Striking Out, Ballykissangel and The Tudors.
He also played Brendan on Love/Hate.
Saoirse has praised her parents in the past for supporting her love of acting and protecting her from predators in Hollywood.
The actress fell in love with the career after visiting her dad on set as a child.
