RTE’s Stephen Byrne reveals wallet he lost in Dublin turned up untouched – in London!

Irish premiere of Wonder Woman at The Savoy

We’ve all lost a wallet at one point in our lives.

There is that horrible feeling of knowing it’s either been taken from you or you were silly enough to drop it or leave it behind somewhere.

Most of the time, the wallet sadly never turns up, and if it does it’s usually totally empty, not to mention near the spot you had it last.

Stephen Byrne suffered the annoying pain of losing his wallet recently but had a happy, yet bizarre ending.

The 2FM presenter took to Twitter to reveal that his missing wallet turned up untouched… over in London!

“I had my wallet stolen/lost/runaway from home in Dublin two weeks ago.” he said.

He added: “I just got a call to be told it was found in Heathrow airport with everything still in it. Wuuut,”

We reckon Stephen should purchase a lotto ticket with all this luck currently on his side…

UPDATE: The radio show host took to Twitter to share the reason behind his wallet’s travels.

“So apparently someone picked it up at the airport, put it in their pocket, the queue took so long for checkin that they ran to the gate, forgot about the wallet, found it 2 weeks later when they put the coat on again and dropped it to Heathrow,” he said on Twitter.

“Being flown back tomorrow.” he added.
