International football star Rio Ferdinand is in Dublin at the moment, and he was spotted today hanging out with a number of RTE stars, and some of Ireland’s bright young students.
Presenter’s Nicky Byrne, Jenny Greene, Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh, Miriam O’Callaghan, Eoghan McDermott, Brenda Donoghue and Karina Buckley were joined today by the footballer on the RTÉ set at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition 2017, at the RDS in Dublin.
Students got the opportunity to try out the new RTÉ/Samsung Virtual Reality Experience while also getting the chance to experiment with the new Weather Wannabees.
Rio also spoke at the exhibition and gave some inspirational words to the young minds who took part in the competition.
