Picture This have just revealed they’ve been signed to a massive US record label.
The group have become the first ever Irish band to be represented by Republic Records, who also manage the likes of Ariana Grande and Drake.
Avery Lipman, founder of Republic Records flew over to Dublin to celebrate with the group today.
At a press conference in The Westbury hotel, the music executive said, “We have many of the worlds top leading artists. The thing about Picture This that got me very excited was when we saw something unusual happening here – a level of passion and activity that didn’t make sense, in a good way.
“They generated a passion among the fans that is hard to ignore. I’m really excited to share them with the rest of the world.”
Speaking of how it all came about, Picture This said, “Avery asked us what we wanted to be and we said the biggest band in the world.
“It’s been a crazy two years. It’s down to the fans and people in the industry who have backed us. Thank you for that. The last few years have been amazing for us.”
As if that wasn’t enough, the group just announced their second album, MDRN LV.
While it won’t be out until next February, but is available for pre-order today.
“This album is very different and we’re very excited. There’s a modern twist. We’re beyond excited for everyone to hear it.”
