Irish model Maeve Madden has revealed details from her time on set filming hit tv show The Crown.

The Dublin native had a brief role in season two of the Royal Family drama, where she played a waitress that caught the eye of Prince Philip, played by Matt Smith.

Speaking about the experience, the beauty revealed that she has ‘always wanted to go into acting.’

“Matt Smith was lovely, really really nice. He was really friendly,” evoke.ie reports.

“Obviously at the start it’s  a little awkward as we’re waiting around and he’s so hot.

“I kept trying to brush up against him when I walked past him, literally all day long. I was thinking I could easily do this, easily do this for my job.

“But he was so nice, everyone on set was lovely. It was nice to have my brother there and my brother-in-law works on it too.”

The London based model also spoke about working with her brother on the show, and how he convinced her to try out for the part

‘I was working with my brother, he works for Marvel Film, but he was working on The Crown at the time. They were looking for someone and he put me in touch with the casting director he said “my sister dabbles a bit in acting”. So I had to go for three auditions for that tiny 15 second part.

‘I’ve always wanted to go into acting or at least try it. Im filming something exciting at then moment which I actually speak in. That really fun. Its just a very small part but at least I get to talk.

‘I just take very opportunity that comes my way. If someone say can you do this even if I cant I’m like “yes, I can, I can do this’’.
