Following her gorgeous Italian wedding to Fabio Aprile last year, Lottie and her other half are ready to take the next big step in their relationship.

The couple are preparing to mark another milestone, and buy their first home together.

“It’s a huge undertaking,” the 31-year-old told VIP Magazine.

“It’s more than likely the biggest investment and biggest step any of us will make in our lifetime.”

While she maintains she’s keeping an ‘open mind’ when it comes to finding her dream property, Lottie wants to stick to the city’s north side to be close to her family.

As housing prices in the city continuing to soar, Lottie knows all too well the struggle many young people face in their quest to finance their first home.

“I think saving is incredibly difficult for all young people at the moment,” she said. “Particularly if, like me, you’re also trying to rent. It’s definitely something you can’t expect to rush into. It’s taken me a long, long time to get to this point.”

Daunting, sure, but Lottie has some advice to share with fellow millennials trying to break into the housing market.

“It’s important to remember when trying to save that you’re going to have ups and downs but keep the faith and hopefully you’ll get there in the end.”

And while the process of purchasing a home can be difficult, Lottie is excited to find the perfect adobe and begin decorating, making the place her own.

“I can’t wait to put a stamp on my place and look at interiors for days. I adore furniture and lighting so that’s going to be good fun to get stuck into.

“I’m quite minimalist and love different textures. I have so many Pinterest boards at the moment catering for everything from modern elegance to country shabby chic!”

While it could be some time before Lottie starts moving boxes, the music lover has already decided on the playlist for her housewarming do.

“A mix of Beyonce, Mark McCabe, Dire Straits, Childish Gambino, and Mango x Mathman!”

That’s one party we’d like to be invited to!
