It’s like deja vu, but Belfast pop music fans have been let down last minute again with an unexpected concert cancellation.

One Direction supporters were left crushed in October when the band called off their gig in the Northern Ireland capital, and now Little Mix have followed suit.

The UK girl group have left their devoted fans devastated after both of their performances in SSE Arena were called off, with the band announcing Jesy Nelson is too sick to get on stage.

The announcement came just minutes before their 2pm show, leaving some excited concert-goers in tears with disappointment.

The band, which originally formed on the X Factor, played Dublin’s 3Arena last night and have been retweeting messages from their Belfast fans on the way to the venue all day today.

Apologising for the situation, the SSE Arena made a statement: “We regret to announce that both LITTLE MIX shows at The SSE Arena will not take place today due to Jesy being unwell and not able to perform.

“Please hold on to your tickets – we hope to be able to make a further announcement on possible rescheduling later today.”

However, this will be of little comfort to the group’s young supporters today – click through our gallery below for the distraught Twitter reaction
