Lidl have been forced to recall one of their popular products due to a labelling issue.

According to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, Lidl’s Kania vegetable stock cubes have been recalled because the packaging instructions and ingredients were printed only in Portuguese and Spanish.

As the stock cubes contain ingredients such as soya and celery, and may potentially also have been contaminated with sesame and gluten, they may be harmful to those with food allergies or intolerances.

Due to language restrictions, all customers may not be able to understand the packaging and as a result the batch must be recalled.

Customers should check if they’ve purchased the food item recently, and be aware of the batch number: L305145 with the sell by date of 27/12/2018.
