Laura Whitmore has opened up about her experience of working with Harvey Weinstein.

The presenter says she counts herself ‘lucky’ to have never been in a negative situation with the shamed producer.

Harvey Weinstein has been accused of rape and sexual harassment by over 60 women, and new stories continue to come to light.

Speaking to Eoghan McDermott on his 2fm show, she explained: “I was never in a situation where I was by myself with him, and it was a working situation.”

She added:  “I think the scary thing is when you read other articles about other women’s stories and you realise, ‘Oh, if I had gone in to that room, or if I had done that…’

“It’s a little bit worrying and I’m very lucky I was never in that situation so I don’t want to use other women’s pain and what they’ve gone through and talk about it, cos I was very lucky that I wasn’t in that situation.”

The Bray native is kicking off a new presenting job with reality show Survival of the Fittest.

The reality show starts on February 11 9 pm9pm on ITV2.
