The competition is fierce in RTE 2FM at the moment, as two presenters from the Breakfast Republic team have been nominated for a Peter Mark VIP Style Award.
Keith Walsh has been given a nod in the Most Stylish Man category, while Jennifer Zamparelli has been nominated for Most Stylish Woman.
Speaking today at the launch of the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards Keith admitted that there is rivalry between himself and Jen in the studio, and it’s not all fun and games!
“I think if I win Jennifer will be seriously annoyed, like angry. She may have a cool exterior but she really wants to win, and I want to win so it’s serious rivalry.
“We pretend to have a laugh and a joke about it but, I can’t take her down because she’s not in my category but look, what if we both win? Wouldn’t that be brilliant,” he said.
The radio presenter also went on to mention his Breakfast Republic co-host, Bernard O’Shea, and how he’s not phased by style. He did say, however, that there is one particular award that he would walk home with.
“Bernard’s got his own style, he’s very self-assured so he’s happy. He feels like you have missed out by not including him.
“Anyway, if you’re going to shop for shoes in Chadwicks- what does he expect! He wears comfortable clothes, he would win the most comfortable looking man award,” he said.
