Nicole Scherzinger was left red faced after an Irish contestant performed the break-up song she wrote about her ex Lewis Hamilton last night.
Niall Sexton performed an emotional rendition of the X Factor judge’s 2014 single Run and she was clearly surprised by the choice. When he said what song he would be singing she responded saying, “Oh -I didn’t realise many people knew that one.”
The American star could be seen mouthing the lyrics “Don’t let him lead you to the dark, Don’t tell him all your secrets,He’ll leave you with a broken heart.’ during his performance.
After the performance Simon made a remarked on the song saying, “Why does that make me think of Lewis Hamilton?”
Louis also chimed in saying , “I actually prefer your version to Nicole’s.”
Nicole responded saying, “So do I.”
Despite his awkward song choice, the Northern Irish singer was offered a seat as part of the Six Chair Challenge.
