Irish blogger Erika Fox has denied that her involvement in a new RTE reality show has been confirmed.

It was announced this week the RTE were creating a reality TV show focusing on young Irish people in New York.

The show, which was set to be called Making it in Manhattan was described by RTE as “Sex and the City meets The Hills, with the escapism of the Kardashians”.

The broadcaster claimed that the show would feature bloggers such as Louise Cooney, Erika and her sister Kaelin, among others.

However, the Retro Flame blogger took to snapchat after the story emerged, to clear the rumours up.

“So there are some articles in the Irish press today about a show happening that me, Kaelin and some of the girls are going to be in,” she said.

“They’re saying that it’s definitely happening but it’s not confirmed. I had one meeting with them, nearly six months ago, about the whole thing and they ran the idea thing by me but I haven’t signed up.

“Some of you have been snapping me about it, so I just wanted to clear it up,” she explained.

RTE have since removed the show description from their website and have not yet responded to Erika’s comments.
