Irish actor Timothy V Murphy, best known for his role in hit American drama, True Detective, has welcomed his first baby to the world.
Timothy and his wife Caitlin Manley only announced the news of their pregnancy earlier this summer as they wanted to keep things private for as long as possible, but their little bundle of joy has already arrived.
Timothy and Caitlin decided to give the baby a traditional Irish name, choosing Sean Fionn Murphy, and uploaded a picture of him, with a caption: “When Irish eyes are smiling.”
Speaking to People Magazine, he said, “Caitlin and I are delighted to announce the arrival of our son, Sean Fionn Murphy, into the world, weighing in at 7 and a half pounds.”
He continued, “As Helen Rowland once said, ‘A man’s desire for a son is usually nothing but the wish to duplicate himself in order that such a remarkable pattern may not be lost to the world’.”
