Irish actor Adam Weafer has landed a new role in Coronation Street.

The Dubliner will be appearing in the hit UK soap for a brief period, with scenes airing over the coming weeks.

“I play a school teacher called Mr Fitzgerald,” he tells VIP Magazine.

“It’s a guest part. It’s only a couple of episodes but it was a great experience.”

While shooting, Adam became well acquainted with the cast, who welcomed him to the Cobbles with open arms.

“They all took me in and were so nice,” he gushed.

“Alan Halsall who plays Tyrone was amazing, he was so lovely. Everyone was bang on.”

As well as that, Red Rock will be returning to our screens this Autumn, and he can’t wait to see how audiences react to the drama.

“I’m looking forward to it being back,” he said.

“There’s a great finish to it, absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to see it, and to hear everyone’s thoughts!”

Will you be tuning in?
