Ed Sheeran has shared a video with his fans informing them of cancellations and postponed shows.

The singer was involved in a cycling accident which resulted in a fractured wrist on his right and a fractured elbow on his left.

He posted a video to facebook revealed that he had to cancel some shows completely.

“I had a follow up visit to the doctor, and with physical therapy I should be alright to go from the Singapore show.”

The singer then revealed that the Osaka, Tokyo and Manilla shows would be postponed until April next year, as they were initially due to take place over October and November.

However due to scheduling conflicts, Ed was forced to completely cancel other dates for his Asia tour in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Jakarta.

Speaking about the accident, Ed said: “I haven’t cancelled a show before, this has been quite a difficult decision to do, but I physically can’t play at the moment and it’s the utmost importance to get my arms healed so that I can play for the rest of my life.”

The Galway Girl singer added that he does hope to return to the cancelled gigs but ‘as it stands’ they are not going ahead.

“I hope you believe me when I say I really want to come back and I’m really sorry I had to cancel them.”

Thankfully, the Irish leg of the tour is due to go ahead as planned.
