Dawn O’Porter and Chris O’Dowd are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary together.
The pair tied the knot in August 2012 during a three-day-long party, surrounded by family and friends.
The couple, who now have two children together, Art (3) and Valentine (1), marked their milestone by recreating the moment Chris asked her to marry him.
Sharing a snap of her hubby down on one knee, Dawn said, “He didn’t realise it, but he’d positioned us just outside the old Guernsey Slaughter house.
“Married 6 years today. Happy anniversary my darling. When I saw you in those Daz adverts, I never imagined you’d be mine.”
Chris recently opened up about their relationship, revealing it wasn’t easy at the beginning.
The Irish actor tried to add her on Facebook a number of times before she eventually accepted his request.
“So I friend-requested her on Facebook, and she turned it down three times, which felt like unnecessary,” he told Marc Maron on his WTF podcast.
Luckily once they did become friends Dawn invited him over for her 30th birthday party, and the rest is history!
“She was throwing this party and hadn’t been in town that long. She was worried nobody was going to turn up so on the day of the party she said, ‘Hey, how’s it going? Why don’t you come to the party?’ and then love blossomed.”
