Celia Holman Lee could give any twenty-something a run for their money, as she poses on a beach in Cannes.
The modelling guru went to France last December to mark her 65th birthday, and as she frolicked in the sea, her husband Ger snapped the enviable pic.
Speaking to VIP, Celia said, “I’m so happy that people think it’s a good one. When it’s your boyfriend or lover taking the picture you can tell them to take another and do a better job. Everyone seems to take pictures on the beach in Cannes, so I just joined in.”
Celia takes pride in showing off her bikini bod, but revealed that maintaining her look isn’t as difficult as you may imagine.
“There’s no big secret, there really isn’t,” she said. “I’ve been practising good posture for over 40 years, and I think that’s very important. As well as that, my job has given me a very good self discipline. I’ve been in modelling nearly 50 years. One has to keep a good appearance and if you walk the walk, you have to be able to talk the talk. That’s my motto.
“I’m a lot smarter than I used to be. It’s all fresh food and eating as best as I can. Do everything, but don’t do too much of anything.
“Water is incredible, and eating well is hugely important. All this came later in life to me. We were going around the country eating soup and sandwiches for twenty years, now I try to eat healthier and maybe bring food with me if I don’t want to eat like that.
“It’s never too late to turn things around.”
Celia is currently working on the Rose of Tralee fashion show, which she’s been heavily involved in for a number of year. It’s one of the biggest fashion events of the year, and is due to take place in August.
