Just when we thought we had escaped the wrath of winter for another few weeks, it appears we couldn’t have been more wrong.

It’s time to break out the winter woolies again, as temperatures are set to plummet over the coming days, and parts of the country could see a small dusting of snow.

By the weekend, temperatures will drop to between 1 and 5 degrees, and frost may set in.

According to Met Eireann, there’ll be possible winter flurries of snow on higher ground over the next couple of days.
