Taste of Dublin, Iveagh Gardens, Co. Dublin

If you spend as much time as we do scrolling through photos of avocado brekkies on Instagram, then Taste of Dublin is the place to be this weekend.

We’re super excited for Lindt Chocolate’s first ever feature stand at the festival which will include samples of products exclusive to the event as well as a Lindt Master Chocolatier giving live demonstrations. Plus, famous faces like social media star James Kavanagh and Great British Bakeoff 2016 winner Candice Brown will be in attendance.

There’s still a few tickets left so click here to grab yours.

Nothing beats a good crisp sambo and the folks at Eatyard know this better than anyone. Their Crisp Festival this weekend will celebrate the nation’s love for the savoury snack with a drool-worthy crisp tasting menu, crisp eating competitions, and a blind taste test to solve the most heated debate of our times – Tayto vs King.

The extravaganza runs for four days but we recommend heading down on Saturday or Sunday to take advantage of the Bottomless Crunch – Open Gate Brewery beers, bread, and as much Tayto crisps as you can eat for just €10!

Miss Universe Casting Call, Dundrum Town Centre, Co. Dublin

Fancy yourself the next Miss Universe Ireland? Well get your ball gown and sash down to Dundrum Town Centre this Saturday between 12 and 4pm for their open casting call. You’ll actually just need a pair of heels (and no makeup on) which makes signing up even easier.

The competition is looking for ‘confident, natural beauties with a social conscience’ and celebrates diversity by encouraging women of every height, size and ethnicity to enter.

Doolin Folk Festival, Doolin, Co. Clare

Taking inspiration from iconic festivals like Lisdoonvarna, The Doolin Folk Festival will present a diverse variety of music in intimate settings. Travel to the edge of the country to see acts like Luka Bloom belt out tunes and bask in the communal spirit of the event. You can still snatch a few tickets by clicking here.

Netflix, EVERYWHERE

The World Cup is now in full swing but if you’re not a soccer fan, why not check out what’s new to Netflix?

The Fab Five are back for Queer Eye season two to transform “the stylistically challenged into hip and happening savants”, Mindy Kaling’s new comedy Champions follows a witty teenager new to New York, and we’ve already scheduled a night in with the girls to watch Set It Up, a Netflix Original film about two overworked assistants set on getting their bosses to fall in love.
