Eamonn Holmes celebrates TV milestone with unrecognisable throwback

Eamonn Holmes is celebrating a very significant milestone today.

On the 27th of October 1986, BBC launched their daytime schedule which included the show Open Air.

This was Eamonn Holmes first presenting gig on Network TV meaning that today marks 31 years for him in the business.

The line-up of shows included Neighbours and Watchdog.

Replying to a tweet that pointing out the special date, Eamonn said: “That was my Network TV Debut. So Happy Anniversary to all those programmes….. and me!”

The official account for This Morning, which Eamonn is currently working on, posted a throwback to mark the occasion.

The 57-year-old looks unrecognisable with his thick black hair.

“Happy 31st anniversary of presenting TV, Eamonn Holmes – we’re raising a cuppa to you!” the caption read.

Congrats to Eamonn, here’s hoping he stays on our screens for years to come.
