Earlier this month Doireann Garrihy revealed that she will be working with RTE for a new show.

The snapchat star previously said that the show will focus on comedy.

“I’m working on a comedy pilot for RTÉ. It’ll be impressions I’d say, probably blogger impressions but also other stuff, to appeal to a wider audience.” she told Goss.

Now the star has revealed more speaking exclusively to VIP about the upcoming show.

“It’s a pilot for RTE player, so it’ll be online and I’ve been working on it for a few months now.

“It’s still very much up in the air, we’re trying to figure out whether we’ll get another writer on board or if it’ll just be me, or if it’s a one-woman show or we’ll get other actors.

“It’s all up in air at the moment, I’m kind of glad that we’re taking out time with it, I’d rather take my time and get it right than rush it and get it wrong, so it’s all going good.”

While the 25-year-old rose to fame from being on camera on snapchat, she also has her own radio show with Spin, so which does she prefer?

“Radio for now is great, it’s such a good training ground. With TV you have visual to fall back on but with radio you have to be constantly thinking on your toes.

“For now I’m loving radio, but eventually definitely TV.”

The influencer also offered advice for anyone hoping to follower in her footsteps.

“Find what is it that sets you apart, build the followers and branch out from that,” she said.

Doireann is taking part in Visa’s #TapIntoIreland road trip across Ireland, along with James Kavanagh, Pat Divilly, Rob Kenny and Anouska which kicks off on Thursday. They will be documenting the amazing Irish experiences recommended by their followers. The only catch is, each adventure must cost less that €30, which they can pay for by tapping their Visa contactless card.

Doireann told VIP where her favourite spot in Ireland as she prepares to set off on the adventure!

“The west of Ireland, any chance I get I’m down in Doolin in Clare, or the Aran Islands,” she said.

“I used to go to Inis Oirr for a month every summer when I was younger, we’d go out there on the August bank holiday weekend, it’s brill!

“It’s just the best craic, so fun, so ideally I’d go there.”
